Kalie Work serves as the Washoe County Recorder, where she advocates for the use of technology to make local government more efficient, secure, and user-friendly. A proud Nevada native, Kalie graduated from the University of Nevada, Reno earning her bachelor's degree in speech communication. She then attended Harvard University where she earned her master's degree in business management with a focus on innovation and sustainability. Before becoming an elected official, Kalie worked in the private sector where she led teams in operations and finance compliance at Microsoft.
Kalie lives in Reno with her husband Mathew and their daughter. She is a proud Wolf Pack sports fan, a dog lover, and a supporter of several community non-profits. Kalie is a member of the National Association of Counties and the International Association of Government Officials. She is currently working to bring a property fraud alert system to the area and to deliver the highest degree of privacy and security of the County's official records.
