The Equipment Services Division's mission is to provide safe, reliable and cost effective fleet vehicles and specialized heavy equipment to other County Departments.

Equipment Service has two automotive maintenance/repair facilities, staffed with a number of highly skilled ASE (Automotive Service Excellence) certified mechanics that provide the majority of vehicle/equipment maintenance and repairs.

The main fleet vehicle maintenance/repair facilities is located at the Longley Lane Corporation Yard and the other, which is strictly dedicated to the Washoe County Sheriff`s Office, at 911 Parr Blvd. Both facilities are under the supervision of Rick Anderson.

Sharing the Longley Lane Corporation Yard is Equipment Services’ main heavy equipment maintenance/repair facility which, along with satellite locations in Incline Village and Gerlach, Nevada, is responsible for the maintenance and repairs of the County’s diverse heavy equipment fleet. These facilities are under the supervision of Tom Maltezo.
