Parent Information

We understand that parenting can be challenging.  There are Helpful Resources and the Washoe County Department of Juvenile Services Handbook that may be helpful to you. Our Informal Supervision Unit has been established to work with juveniles referred for status offenses and misdemeanors that do not meet the criteria for probationary status (Status offenses can include incorrigible, runaway, truancy). For more information regarding programs available in the community, please call 775-325-7801.

If your child is currently involved or has had prior recent involvement with Juvenile Services, please contact their Case Manager or Probation Officer. The main office number is 775-325-7800.

Voluntary Services

HOW DO I ACCESS VOLUNTARY SERVICES?

1. A parent may call the Informal Supervision Unit at 775-325-7801, Monday through Friday, 8 AM to 5 PM to speak with a Case Manager prior to any police involvement.
2. A parent may complete an Online referral form and a Case Manager will respond within 24 hours.
