Washoe County Health District Offers Fee Deferral - At the Washoe County District Board of Health meeting on March 25, 2020, members approved a fee deferral of annual renewal fee collection for businesses impacted by the COVID-19 emergency. An application must be submitted to apply. Please select the appropriate division below to apply for a fee deferral:
What the fee deferral means - The Washoe County District Board of Health has provided for a deferral of permit fees until the Governor lifts Emergency Directive 003 directing non-essential businesses to close. Once the order is lifted, you will receive an email providing a new due date by which your fees must be paid. This date will be 60 days from the date the Governor lifts the Emergency Directive. If fees are not received by this date, then all applicable late fees will be applied.
On December 17, 2015 the District Board of Health approved fee increases. The motion was to have 50% of the fee increase on July 1, 2016, and the remaining 50% of the fee increase beginning on July 1, 2017; and with an annual adjustment based on the Western Consumer Price Index (CPI) beginning on July 1, 2017. Also included in the reported fees is the 4% Regional Tech Fee approved by the Board on November 19, 2015.
Environmental Health (EHS) - Fee Schedule Office does not accept any payments after 4 p.m.
The Health District no longer accepts credit card payments of $1,000 or more (effective November 3, 2014).
