Reno, Nev. October 12, 2018. Washoe County Regional Animal Services (WCRAS) is serving seniors by holding a Free Vaccination and Microchip Clinic for pet owners age 60 and over with ID, at Washoe County Human Services Agency on Tuesday, October 16 from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. Free vaccinations, microchips and first time licenses are available.

Free Vaccination and Microchip Clinic

WHAT: Free vaccinations, microchips and first-time licensing clinic hosted by WCRAS.

WHEN: Tuesday, October 16 from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m.

WCRAS staff and contract veterinarian will be on-site to provide vaccinations and microchipping for the pets of seniors in Washoe County. Core vaccinations: Distemper/Parvo and Rabies vaccinations for dogs and FVRCP and Rabies vaccinations for cats. The Bordetella (kennel cough) booster is $20.00. Dog license renewal will be $8.00. The pet limit is three dogs and seven cats per residence. No retractable leashes please.

Seniors with dogs over four months of age are required to be licensed and WCRAS will provide the first license free. If it is not a first time license, renewal licenses are $8.00 for seniors.
