The first step is to contact Maureen O'Brien in the Administration Office at volunteerprogramlead@tmfpd.us for information about the process of becoming a Volunteer.  You can also contact Maureen directly at (775) 328-3605.

The "Expectations of a Prospective Volunteer" booklet explains the various options that exist within the District Volunteer Program.  If you decide to pursue becoming a District Volunteer, you will be required to attend meetings and trainings prior to onboarding.  There are various training programs (depending on the path you choose to take) that need to be completed before the onboarding process can begin.

Formal onboarding starts with an interview in the District Office with Maureen O'Brien and Ross Rytting, followed by two (2) background checks (local and State/Federal), ending with a 2-part physical.

Once again, thank you for your interest in Truckee Meadows Fire Protection District's Volunteer Program.
