Lazy 5 Concert Series
Our annual free Summer Music Concert Series at Lazy 5 Regional Park in Spanish Springs features various local and regional artists providing a variety of music styles. Thanks to our generous sponsors, the series has increased in popularity and attendance with each year as family & friends come to the park by the hundreds to enjoy an evening of free music under the trees. New to the series, is the addition of a farmer’s market with fruits and vegetables as well as food vendors and free crafts for kids. The series runs Wednesday evenings from mid June to mid August. Bring the family and enjoy a pleasant summer evening with a free concert in our beautiful regional park.
Ranger Led Nature Hikes
Throughout the year there are scheduled hikes and topics presented by the Washoe County Park Rangers. These topics and walks change each year but are always informative and fun.
Come In From The Cold
This family entertainment series has become a fast favorite with young and old alike. Held Saturday evenings during the winter in the Bartley Ranch Regional Park's Western Heritage Interpretive Center, a multitude of live regional musicians entertain you with their unique brand of performance styles. The series usually starts early in January and runs into March with the entertainment staring at 7:00 pm. Don't miss these amazing entertainers! The 2017 Series will be announced in November.
Held each summer at the historic and scenic Bowers Mansion Pool, three sessions of swimming lessons are offered for children ages 3 to 12. The Bowers Mansion Pool's certified lifeguards provide group instruction for toddlers up to our more advanced swimmers. Occasionally we are able to offer extra classes in diving and Jr. Lifeguard programs. To find out what is available and to sign up, please check the Bowers Mansion Pool page after May 1st.
