The Wilbur D. May Arboretum in partnership with the Reno-Sparks Indian Colony is proud to present the Great Basin Tribes Station Tour. Students will explore the identity and life of the Great Basin Tribes through four stations; Creation Stories, Native Plants, Identity, and History. Learning about the Washoe, Paiute, and Shoshone tribes of the Great Basin region is essential for a meaningful lesson on Native American history. Each station consists of a lesson, hands on activity, and group discussion. We have developed a learning experience that is well-rounded, accurate, thoughtful, and fun!
