Sierra Nevada Native Plants

Owl in Davids Garden

David’s Garden is one of the original groves planted nearly 30 years ago representing the western and eastern Sierra native trees and shrubs as well as a creek side plant community. It is dominated by upper elevation evergreen trees species such as, White Fir, Douglas Fir, Incense Cedar, Ponderosa Pine and Jeffrey Pine.  As you enter you will be welcomed by the graceful soft branches of a Douglas Fir tree.  Follow the gravel path and discover a rustic wooden resting site, a welcome relief for visitors to take a quiet respite. Sit, reflect, and observe the wildlife that this garden attracts.
