Story Time in the Arboretum

The Wilbur D. May Arboretum and the Washoe County Library System are happy to announce Story Time in the Arboretum! Bring your family every Tuesday this summer from 10am-11am in Honey’s Garden. Join Washoe County Librarians while they read a nature themed story! After the story, stay in gardens to explore or join in on a fun activity!  While you are here you can sign up for a library card or the summer reading program. We hope to see you this summer!

Join us these dates: June 6, 13, 20, 27, July 11, 18, 25, and August 1. Note there will be NO Story Time on July 4th.

The Arboretum is located with Rancho San Rafael Regional Park. Honey’s Garden is located down the path from our South Entrance.

A Bug’s Life in the Arboretum

What’s all the buzz about at the Arboretum? On Sunday, June 11th from 1pm-3pm the Arboretum will team up with Nevada Bugs and Butterflies to celebrate pollinators! Come to Rancho San Rafael’s Ranch House at any time between 1-3pm to make crafts, learn about pollinators, and explore the gardens in search of bugs.

For any questions about upcoming programs please call or email Mandy, our Arboretum Educator,
