Washoe County, City of Reno & City of Sparks unveil Reopening Plan
Washoe County Phase 1 Guidance shares specifics for businesses and public

Reno/Sparks, NV – The Regional Information Center is unveiling the reopening plan, Washoe County Phase 1 Guidance, based on the State of Nevada’s guidance. 

During a press conference today with local officials from Washoe County, the City of Reno and the City of Sparks, they collectively shared the Washoe County Phase 1 Guidance and answered questions from the media.

Based on the State of Nevada and Governor Sisolak’s guidance, and thanks to our collective efforts, officials shared the Washoe County Phase 1 Guidance, based on Governor Sisolak’s guidelines and directive 18 which he signed last night, which will allow for the reopening of certain sectors of business in our local economy.

The seven industry categories in Washoe County that will be allowed to reopen under the Governor’s Phase 1 directive are: Restaurants & Food Trucks, Barber Shops, Hair Salons & Nail Salons, Consumer & Retail, General Office Environments, Real Estate & Property Leasing, Farmer’s Markets, and Alcohol Guidelines.

In the Washoe County Phase 1 Guidance all the specific criteria to safely and responsibly reopen for each category are outlined. In addition, there is guidance for the public including the recommendation to wear face masks in public, maintain social distancing, staying home, and limiting trips outside of homes.
