Washoe County to Fill Vacancy for IVGID Board of Trustees
Board of County Commissioners to appoint vacant position

Reno, Nev. Dec. 24, 2019. Washoe County has received official notification from the Incline Village General Improvement District (IVGID) to move forward with an appointment process in order to fill a vacancy on its Board of Trustees. On Dec. 18, 2019 IVGID held a special meeting to fill a vacancy previously occupied by Phil Horan. During this meeting, the Board could not come to an agreement on an appointment, therefore, per Nevada Revised Statute 318.090, the Washoe County Board of Commissioners will appoint an applicant to fill the vacancy. Washoe County will begin accepting applications at noon on Dec. 24, 2019 until 5p.m. on Jan. 6, 2020.

The earliest the Washoe County Commission could take action to appoint a replacement would be at their regularly scheduled meeting on January 14, 2019.
