Reno, Nev. Sept. 12, 2019. Wolf Pack Athletics and the Washoe County Human Services Agency (HSA) are teaming up to celebrate foster and adoptive families on the football field.

The community is encouraged to cheer on the Pack and join us in recognizing foster and adoptive families during the Have a Heart Adoption Awareness Football Game at Mackay Stadium Saturday, Sept. 14, at 4 p.m.

During calendar year 2019, 109 children have been adopted through HSA. There are nearly 100 children in need of a forever home and more than 500 currently in foster care.

“One of the most important goals of the Human Services Agency Children’s Division is to find families for children and not the other way around,” said HSA Children’s Services Director Cara Paoli. “Through this incredible partnership with the Pack and several other community outreach efforts, HSA hopes to raise awareness and see an increased interest to help our youth in care.”
