At the May 15, 2019 Library Board of Trustees meeting, the Trustees unanimously approved the recommendation to change hours at the Duncan/Traner Community Library. They also approved new expanded hours at the Incline Village Library.

Effective Monday, June 3, 2019, the Duncan/Traner Community Library will be open Tuesday, Thursday and Friday from 3 p.m. – 6 p.m., Wednesday from 2:30 p.m. – 6 p.m. and Saturday from 10 a.m. – 2 p.m..  The Duncan/Traner Community Library will be closed on Sunday and Monday.

Effective Monday, September 2, 2019, the Incline Village Library will be open Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday from 10 a.m. – 6 p.m., Tuesday from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. The Incline Village Library will be closed on Saturday and Sunday.

Washoe County Library System Director Jeff Scott states “Revising the Duncan/Traner Community Library public hours and adding an additional 5 open hours to the Incline Village branch allow the Library System to provide better access to library resources for students, parents or guardians, and the community.”   Scott continued, “The change in hours allows more programming opportunities including our story times and craft times on a regular basis.  As a strategic planning initiative focused on early literacy objectives, we are thrilled that the Incline Village Library will now offer a new Lapsit Storytime in September.”

Scott further states, “Revising the public hours at the Duncan/Traner Community Library will give the Library the opportunity to try programming on a different day and still offer weekend hours.”
