Reno, Nev. Oct. 12, 2018 – In the coming days, registered voters throughout Washoe County will receive sample ballots, in two parts, and in two separate mailings.
The first portion of the sample ballot will consist of statewide and local ballot questions. In all, six statewide questions, one Washoe County question, and one Sparks advisory question will appear on the ballot for voters to decide. The ballot will include the stated arguments for and against each initiative.
Following the first sample ballot, voters will receive the second part of the sample ballot in the mail which will contain the candidate choices, voting instructions, early voting schedule, and other important voting information such as instructions on how to vote.
Both of these mailings regarding sample ballots should hit voters next week, before early voting begins on October 20. “If a voter has registered or changed their address in the last month, their sample ballot will be delayed,” explains Registrar of Voters, Deanna Spikula. “And finally, all voters can view their sample ballots online on our website by looking themselves up in our voter lookup area.”
