Reno, Nev. Oct. 10, 2018. The Washoe County Human Services Agency (HSA) and The State of Nevada’s Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS) invite our valued media partners to tour the new Northern Nevada Adult Mental Health Services (NNAMHS) campus on Wednesday, Oct. 10, 2018. Media can meet at 605 S. 21st St., in Sparks at 11 a.m.
DHHS is leasing a dozen buildings to HSA for the expansion of Washoe County’s Crossroads program, which will better serve hundreds of the area’s homeless. Women, children, pregnant women and families that are currently staying at the Community Assistance Center in downtown Reno will move to the new NNAMHS campus, where they will receive shelter, critical services and specialized programming.
The Board of County Commissioners approved a 10-year lease between the State of Nevada and HSA for the NNAMHS campus at the Oct. 9, 2018 board meeting.
The NNAMHS campus is currently under construction and plans to begin serving Washoe County’s homeless in 2019.
