Washoe County District Attorney Chris Hicks and members of the District Attorney’s Office are once again taking on the Washoe County Public Defenders in the 3rd Annual Children’s Cancer Classic to be held this Saturday, March 17, 2018 at the Reno Events Center.  These rivals from a different court will play each other in a charity basketball game hosted by the Reno Bighorns as a benefit the Northern Nevada Children’s Cancer Foundation (NNCCF).

The Reno Bighorns host the Children’s Cancer Classic Basketball Game annually in support of the NNCCF.  In this year’s re-match, District Attorney Hicks and his team will play against the Washoe County Public Defenders for bragging rights.  Tip off for this charity game is set for 1:00 p.m., prior to the regularly scheduled Bighorns game. Tickets for the Children’s Cancer Classic Basketball Game are $25 and include family-friendly pre-game and post-game attractions, food and entrance to the Bighorns 7:00 p.m. game. All proceeds benefit the Northern Nevada Children’s Cancer Foundation’s mission to support local children and their families battling childhood cancer through financial and emotional support.

“My team and I are honored to support NNCCF’s efforts to help these courageous families. As a parent, I cannot think of a worthier cause and encourage you to attend this event in support of Northern Nevada’s children battling childhood cancer.” - DA Chris Hicks
