Washoe County Library System has teamed up with TEDxUniversityofNevada to livestream the January 27 TEDx event to our community free of charge. The event will take place in the newly-renovated auditorium in the Downtown Reno Library. If you have never attended a TEDx event, now is your chance – don’t miss this free opportunity for an inspiring learning opportunity!

The TEDx event will showcase local thinkers and speakers from the community who will share compelling ideas with participants, carrying on the spirit and overall format of a standard TED event. TEDx events are all about bringing people together from all walks of life to discuss ideas that have the potential to change the world in which we live. Each TEDx event, like the UNR event on January 27, is locally and independently organized.

Washoe County Library Director Jeff Scott emphasized, “This is an opportunity for residents who might not otherwise be able to attend to view a livestream of a unique event.  We are very fortunate to be able to offer this inspiring learning opportunity free of charge because of this wonderful and exciting collaboration.”

Washoe County Library System appreciates the generosity of TEDxUniversityofNevada in allowing us to offer this innovative program to our community. Whether it’s one talk or idea that strikes a chord, or the energy from the whole day of experiences, it would be difficult to attend without feeling compelled and inspired by something you experience at a TEDx event.

Registration is required and a limited number of seats are available. Registration is limited to 80 attendees and registrations will be awarded on a first-come, first-served basis. To register, or to view the day’s schedule, please visit http://events.washoecountylibrary.us/event/3930582.
