Update 3:30 a.m. - Final unofficial results reported in Washoe County
Remainder of ballots released.
Washoe County Registrar of Voters Luanne Cutler reported final unofficial election results in Washoe County early Wednesday morning.
Ballot results were released after a delay late Tuesday night.
Election officials reviewed the printed results from three voting cartridges and combined them with the totals that were previously uploaded into the system. Together, the totals represent the completed final unofficial results.
“While it wasn’t an ideal circumstance and results didn’t come as quickly, we utilized one of two backup vote storage systems to complete the process,” Cutler said. “We have multiple vote storage systems in place for situations such as this.”
The final results will be canvassed and certified before the Board of County Commissioners on Tuesday, Nov. 15.
