Where: First-floor lobby of Reno City Hall (1 East First Street in Reno)

“In a settlement, neither party gets everything they want, but by agreeing to stop looking backward, we can all focus on the future,” Board of Fire Commissioners Chair Kitty Jung said. “Our public safety agencies are too important to our community to be bogged down in legal arguments. Through this settlement the parties can work full-time to protect life and property.”
“The City of Reno and Washoe County continue to demonstrate that disagreements and challenges can be overcome through communication and cooperation,” Reno Mayor Hillary Schieve said. “Settlement of this lawsuit allows us to lay a solid foundation on which we can continue to provide excellent and responsive emergency services to our citizens and focus on regionalization. I am confident that we will achieve many more great things together.”
