Workforce Development provides Strategic Workforce Planning, Succession Management, Individual Development Plans, Learning and Performance, and all related training.
The following is a general description of Human Resource Workforce Development functions and is not inclusive of all responsibilities of the Human Resources Workforce Development.

Training
Excellence in Public Service (EPS)
Washoe County encourages lifelong learning and the professional development of all employees. Excellence in Public Service is a series of certificate programs that recognizes successful completion of essential employee development courses. To find out more, go to Excellence in Public Service.
New Employee Orientation
This training is designed to introduce new employees to Washoe County and provide them information that is critical to successful employment with the organization. It includes an overview of County Mission, Vision, Values, Strategic Priorities and organizational structure and functions; an overview of the benefits of County employment and a review of critical County policies.
Learning Center
Current Washoe County employees need to register for classes through the online Washoe County Learning Center - Bridge accessed through the intranet, Inside Washoe.
Other Training Resources
