Birth Parent Information
The Adult Group Care Program provides payment for room and board for individuals who are homeless and in need of a structured setting to stabilize a medical condition. In the Adult Group Care home the individual receives adequate rest, regular meals, and has their medication monitored by staff. Additionally, a Human Services Agency social worker provides case management services with the ultimate goal of safe transition to an independent living environment.
In order to qualify for assistance individuals must be a Washoe County resident, be between the ages of 18-64 years old, have verified physical disability, be ambulatory, be independent in their activities of daily living and meet all other financial and non-financial requirements for their household size.
The individual must apply all income towards their cost of care while in the facility.
