Community Resilience
The RAND Corporation released a report on community resilience titled "Building Community Resilience to Disasters: A Way Forward to Enhance National Health Security." This report was sponsored by ASPR/HHS, and seeks to help community leaders develop local strategies for resiliency. Specifically, the report aims to clarify the "resilience-building process" - identifying eight levers for action for local communities and practical related activities. The report (full and summary version) is available here: http://www.rand.org/pubs/technical_reports/TR915.html.
Please take a moment to review this information and send the Medical Reserve Corps your suggestions on how the MRC can improve community resilience and preparedness in our community.
