- Truckee River Flood Project (TRFP) - The Truckee River Flood Project is a joint effort between the cities of Reno and Sparks, Washoe County, the US Army Corps of Engineers and numerous stakeholders. The project's mission is the management of flood waters and floodplains to protect life and property; reducing flooding by using environmentally sound practices; enhancing water quality, riparian habitat and wetlands; and improved access to the river for recreation.
