What to do in an Emergency? Call 954-4600

If you have a water or sewer emergency, call 954-4600.  If you have a water leak in your residence or yard, locate your water shut-off valve on your property and turn off your water before any major damage is done to your house or lawn.  Most homes have a shut-off valve to the residence, and all newly constructed homes have shut-off valves somewhere on the customers' side of the meter box.

It is against County ordinance to shut the County's water valve off.  If you do not have a water shut-off valve on your property, or if the leak is on the County's water line or side of the meter box, you must call the Utility Division (954-4600) for water turn off.

The County will come back after repairs are made to turn your water back on. The County is not responsible for installing any water lines or repairing any leaks on the customers' property.

If you do not have a water shut-off valve on your property, the County recommends that you have one installed.
