Reason for seeking position:

To be a voice for parents and students in the education process. Witnessing first-hand how the Washoe County School District board operates and the effect school board policy has on teachers, administrators and students, lead me to take action. Students need to be the focus of policy decisions with the goal of improving academic achievement, increasing parent involvement, improving transparency and school safety. There are solutions to the challenges we face but it takes trustees who, understand education, sincerely care and are willing to do the work necessary to help our students be successful.
