I earned my J.D. from the University of Kansas School of Law, my B.A. in English Literature from the University of Missouri-Kansas City, and my high school diploma from McQueen High School in Reno.
Current Occupation:
I’m an attorney and do a lot of work in employment law representing working men and women. I have done a lot of pro-bono and volunteer work for the Domestic Violence Resource Center, Food Bank of Northern Nevada, Boys and Girls Club, Junior Achievement, and other nonprofits.
Government Background:
Members of the Reno City Council unanimously appointed me to the council’s “at-large” seat in 2019, and I was honored when the voters elected me to that position again in 2020.
Reason for seeking position:
Because of redistricting, there are only ward seats on the council, and I am running to represent Ward 5 (northwest Reno) where I have lived for 35 years.
Growing up in northwest Reno, we had a good quality of life. So did my kids. I would like to continue to serve the public and ensure that same quality of life for all who live in Reno.
