Current Occupation:
I currently work part time as a Dental Hygienist in private dental practices in Sparks.
Earlier in my professional career I held a Real Estate license and worked in Mental Health and Disabilities at what was the former Sierra Development Center that now houses the Women’s Shelter off of Glendale Ave.

Government Background:
I was elected and served for twelve years on the Clark County Nevada School Board in 2008. During my tenure we were able to increase graduation rates and expand magnet programs despite economic challenges experienced throughout Nevada.
Reason for seeking position:
Sparks is my hometown and It’s important to me that, as our city grows, we make smart decisions that preserve our family friendly culture and ensure that our future generations can enjoy the natural beauty of Northern Nevada.
Unfortunately, over the past few years the citizens of Sparks have experienced raising crime, safety issues - from traffic gridlock to crumbling infrastructure; empty retail space and the closing of businesses in downtown Sparks is a growing concern. In addition the city struggles with increasing numbers of homeless.
While other areas of Sparks have flourished, Ward 1 which includes the oldest parts of the city, has been negatively impacted the most by these troubling issues.
Sparks has a growing Senior population, but unfortunately their needs are often last on the list when allocating resources. This needs to change.
I, like so many other residents and business owners that live and work in Ward 1, know that if these issues were resolved everyone’s quality of life would improve.
