Who Participates in a Family Solutions Team Meeting?
It is important to include individuals who can help you find solutions. Your case worker can help you decide which friends and family members to invite to support you.
The team may include:
- Your family
- Your child/youth
- Your Family Solutions Team, which includes your case worker, will help implement the plan developed by the team members
- Extended family and other support persons
- Foster parents and/or kin providers (if the child/youth is in placement)
- School staff
- Spiritual leaders
- Other community support people (as identified by the family)
- Case worker
- Supervisor
Tips for a Successful Meeting
- Be on time
- Write down questions beforehand
- You are encouraged to find child care; however, if children attend please bring healthy snacks and quiet, age-appropriate activities
- Let the case worker know if you need help with transportation or translation
