Adult Group Care
The Adult Group Care Program provides payment for room and board for individuals who are homeless and in need of a structured setting to stabilize a medical condition. In the Adult Group Care home the individual receives adequate rest, regular meals, and has their medication monitored by staff. Additionally, a Washoe County Department of Social Services Social Worker provides case management services with the ultimate goal of safe transition to an independent living environment.
In order to qualify for assistance individuals must be a Washoe County resident, be between the ages of 18-64 years old, have verified physical disability, be ambulatory, be independent in their activities of daily living and meet all other financial and non-financial requirements for their household size.
The individual must apply all income towards their cost of care while in the facility.
