Treasure Quest with Arthur: Bring the whole family to the park for this annual FREE spring event from KNPB and Washoe County Parks! Kick off the morning with the pancake breakfast, then spend the day enjoying free activities like gold panning, geocaching, games, crafts, and more!  Be sure to stop in to see the May Museum's new exhibit "Treasure: Riches, Rogues, and Relics" at a discounted rate. Save your appetite for the food trucks at lunch! New this year: A 5K Run and Kids Fun Run.

  • 9:00 am - 5K Fun Run at the Chinese Pagoda. Register online at www.tmparksfoundation.org/5k
  • 9:00 am - 11:00 am ~  Pancake Breakfast in the Great Basin Adventure. Adults - $5.00, Children 12 and under - $3.00.
  • 10:00 am - Kids Fun Run at the Chinese Pagoda. 12 and under. Course length 1K. Register online at www.tmparksfoundation.org/5k 
  • 10:00 am - 3:00 pm ~ All booths and activities open in the Great Basin Adventure area.
  • 11:00 am - 3:00 pm ~ Food Trucks in Museum parking lot. Gourmelt, BoDawgs, Still Rollin', Java Ship Coffee, Stephon's Mobile Bistro, Battle Born, and Brain Freeze Ice Cream.
  • 11:00 am - 3:00 pm ~ Sack lunches for sale inside the Great Basin Adventure area. $5.00 each.
  • 10:00 am - 4:00 pm ~ Discounted $6.00 admission to the May Museum exhibit "Treasure: Riches, Rogues, and Relics."
  • 10:00 am, 11:15 am, 12:30 pm, 1:45 pm ~ Enjoy free screenings of "Arthur's Outdoor Adventure" in the May Museum. Meet at the south entrance to the museum for entry.

"Ghost Towns of Northern Nevada" Presentation:
Discover the fascinating stories behind some the ruins of once great boom towns around Northern Nevada! Stanley Paher is an authority on Silver State ghost towns, having written more than a dozen books and publishing and distributing dozens more through his company Nevada Publications. Stan will give an entertaining presentation and answer questions on ghosts towns of the region. Afterward he will do a book sale and signing of some of his best known titles.

Cost: $9.00 for adults and $8.00 for children/seniors. (Includes admission to the Treasure exhibit and May collection.)
