May Museum’s KING TUT exhibit extended through the Memorial Day weekend  

The Wilbur D. May Museum’s King Tut exhibit has been extended by a week and will now be open to the public throughout the Memorial Day Weekend, including Monday, May 28, 2012. The museum store will offer a special sale with 25 percent off all King Tut souvenirs during the final week.

Exhibit hours for the final week will be 10:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. Wednesday through Saturday, May 23 – 26; 12:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m. on Sunday, May 27, and 10:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. on Monday, May 28, 2012.

May Arboretum Society invites you to their first ever
Party in the Garden

The May Arboretum Society invites local garden lovers to join them for an enjoyable and informative evening in the May Arboretum. The Society’s first annual “Party in the Garden” Arboretum Fundraiser will be held on Friday evening, June 1, in the Wilbur D. May Arboretum.   

The highlight of the evening is a seminar on high desert gardening presented by nationally known garden designers, consultants and authors Scott Ogden and Lauren Springer Ogden. Participants will also have the first chance to make purchases from the large variety of native and ornamental plants, vegetables, and trees that will be featured during the Annual May Arboretum Plant Sale scheduled for the following morning.

Admission is $50 per person or $75 for Garden Party admission plus a copy of the book Waterwise Plants for Sustainable Gardens by Scott Ogden and Lauren Springer Ogden. For more information, and to make reservations, call (775) 785-4153.

And don't miss this year's May Arboretum Plant Sale on Saturday, June 2. The sale opens at 8:00 a.m. and we highly recommend you come early for best selecton.
