The Ranch House is a two story house that is available for reservations for social events or meetings.
First Floor/Patio/East Lawn
2012 User Fee: $75.00/hour with a 2-hour minimum (kitchen not included)
The San Rafael Room is the largest room measuring 30' X 20' and will accomodate about 40 people seated at tables or up to 75 people in an aisle/row arrangement for a ceremony. The ceiling is 9 1/2' high.
The fireplace may not be used for fires. The mantle is a good area for decorations of wreaths or flowers.
The outdoors includes the patio/courtyard and the grassy area east of the house (either area is suitable for wedding ceremonies). There is outdoor lighting in the courtyard.
The V & T Room is an excellent area for a buffet table arrangement (see maps) or can seat 20 people at tables. The ceiling is 8'-4" high. Room dimensions are approximately 21' X 15'.
The five other rooms are slightly smaller in dimension (see maps) and seat 20 people at tables. The ceilings are 8'-4" high. The Ophir and Highland Rooms are the only rooms equipped with dressing mirrors.
The entire house can be reserved for $100.00/hour with a 2-hour minimum (kitchen not included)
The kitchen facilities include: Microwave, stove, and ovens (see measurements below), large refrigerator, salad/dessert cooler, large sink, preparation counters, small sink, buffet server (hot and cold), large shelved storage area and dishwasher. Dishwasher is to be used by licensed caterers only.
Oven #1: 25" deep x 26" wide x 14" high
Oven #2: 25" deep x 16" wide x 14" high.
If you have rented the bar area, the following are at your disposal: Small sink, two refrigerated beer tappers (see below for details), storage shelves.
The taps accommodate standard brands of beer kegs Taps may or may not accomodate foreign brands or microbrews.
The refrigerator holds two 1/4 kegs or two 1/2 kegs (sometimes called ponies or barrels, respectively) You do not need a CO2 tank.
A 1/2 keg holds 15 gallons and a 1/4 keg holds 7-1/2 gallons.
All user fees and a $500 refundable cleaning/security deposit are due at the time the reservation is made. All cancellations must be in writing. Cancellations made 90 days or more in advance of the date will receive 100% of the rental fees, but a $30 cancellation fee will apply. On cancellations made 30-89 days in advance of the date 50% of the rental fee will be retained or $30 whichever is greater. On cancellations made less than 30 days in advance of the date 100% of the rental fees will be retained. A full refund of the cleaning/security deposit applies to all cancellations.
Hours of Use
There is a two hour minimum rental and we recommend a minimum of five hours for social events to allow for setup and cleanup. When selecting your hours, please make certain that you include enough time for your setup (including decoration), tear-down, and clean-up.
The Ranch House hours are:
Sunday - Thursday
8:00 AM - 10:00 PM (No Exceptions)
Friday - Saturday
8:00 AM - 12:00 midnight (No Exceptions)
You may select up to five hours in conjunction with the above listed times. We do NOT split hours. We book only one event per day in the Ranch House.
We have approximately 100 chairs for your use and their fee is included in the rental price of the rooms. If you need to rent additional chairs or other equipment, these items must be removed from the premises on the day of your event.
We have approximately twenty tables for your use measuring either 36" x 72" or 30" x 72". Each table seats 6-8 people.
Bands and amplified music are only allowed inside the Ranch House. Soft acoustical music is allowed outside during a wedding ceremony only. Should the music be too loud, the ranger will regulate the volume to an acceptable level. Outside doors must remain closed if music is being played.
Burke Garden, Kristin's Garden and Honey's Garden may be rented in conjunction with the Ranch House. Reservation and rental of any Arboretum garden must be made through the Parks Administration (775) 823-6501.
