Andrew Napolitano (dob 5/1/77) has again been adjudicated as a Habitual Criminal after having been arrested and ultimately convicted for committing new crimes while on parole for a 2005 Burglary While in Possession of a Firearm conviction. Napolitano was sentenced on February 20, 2024, to more than 12 years in prison after pleading guilty to Burglary of a Business and Possession of a Controlled Substance, giving him more than ten felony convictions. Napolitano’s prior convictions include Robbery with a Deadly Weapon, Burglary While in Possession of a Firearm, and Grand Larceny.
The current case began in April of 2023, when detectives with the Northern Nevada Repeat Offender Program (ROP) arrested Napolitano in connection with the burglary of a local fast-food restaurant. When he was arrested, Napolitano had more than 5 grams of methamphetamine in his pocket, a fake ID card, and a permit for another person in his wallet.
During sentencing, the Deputy District Attorney argued for up to 12.5 years in custody, with parole eligibility in 5 years, citing Napolitano’s criminal history and his previous adjudication as a habitual criminal. Napolitano had been released on parole for his prior burglary conviction before he was arrested for this burglary. His parole was revoked when this case arose, and he will need to serve the remainder of the 15-year sentence imposed in that case.
This new Habitual Criminal sentence will begin after November of 2025. The Honorable Judge Kathleen Drakulich presided and imposed the sentence.
