Interlibrary Loan
The purpose of Interlibrary Loan (ILL) is to obtain library materials for you that are not owned by Washoe County libraries. We cannot request materials simply because our copies are checked out. Beginning March 1, 2009, there will be a $3.00 minimum fee on each item borrowed.
Washoe County Library System does not lend or borrow audiovisual materials through interlibrary loan. This change in policy is in response to a reduction in the library system budget. We regret any inconvenience this may cause to our patrons and hope that we may restore this service in the future.
You must have a valid and current WCL card to request materials through interlibrary loan. Not all materials are available through ILL. The owning library determines which items it will lend. Interlibrary loans generally take 2-4 weeks. We cannot guarantee the date of arrival.
The ILL use period is normally two weeks. Please request no more items than you can actually use in two weeks. An item may not be requested more than two times in a six month period.
