It’s that time of year again – tax season! AARP and IRS Certified VITA/TCE Volunteer Preparers will offer free tax help at the following Washoe County libraries:
Downtown Reno Library: Mondays and Tuesdays, 1-4 p.m., February 1 -April 13, no appointment necessary.
Incline Village Library: Saturdays, February 6 and 13, noon- 4 p.m.; Saturday, April 3, noon-3:30 p.m. Appointments encouraged, help in Spanish may be available with advance notice. Call the library at 832-4130 to book a 45 minute time slot. Walk-ins are also welcome.
North Valleys Library: Thursdays, 11 a.m.-3 p.m., Saturdays, 11 a.m.-3 p.m., February 4-April 15, appointments required.
Northwest Reno Library: Wednesdays, 2-6 p.m., February 10-April 10; Saturdays, 10:30 a.m.-2:30 p.m., February 6-April 11; no appointments taken, preference given to seniors and low-income individuals.
Senior Center (Reno Game Room): Mondays and Thursdays, 8:30 a.m.-noon, February 1-April 15, no appointment necessary; priority given to seniors and low income individuals.
Sierra View Library: Wednesdays, 11 a.m.-3 p.m., Saturdays, 1-5 p.m., February 3-April 14, appointments preferred and can be made in person, walk-ins will be served on a first-come basis.
South Valleys Library: Wednesdays, 4:15-7 p.m., Saturdays, 10 a.m.-2 p.m., February 3-April 14. Appointments accepted; preference given to seniors and low- and middle-income taxpayers.
Spanish Springs Library: Wednesdays, 1-4 p.m., February 3-April 14, appointments accepted; preference given to seniors and low- and middle-income taxpayers.
Sparks Library: Tuesdays, 5-6:15 p.m., February 2-16 and April 13; Saturdays, 10 a.m.-4:15 p.m., January 30-April 10. A Spanish-speaking volunteer will be available. Appointments are required and can be made in person or by calling 352-3205.
