Alfred W. Stoess, ChairAlfred Stoess has a Ph.D. in organizational behavior and organization theory from the University of Oregon. He has over twenty-five years of experience in post-secondary education at several universities and more than twenty years in internal auditing in the gaming industry. Dr. Stoess is married and has three adult children and two grandchildren. He also serves on the Board of Directors of the Great Basin Federal Credit Union. |

Tom CornellThomas Cornell enlisted in the US Army, First Cavalry Division in 1974 and retired from the Washington Army National Guard. He participated in multiple deployments to Germany, Saudi Arabia, Bosnia, Kosovo and Bulgaria during his military career. In 2007, he attended the Institute for Foreign Languages at the University of Belgrade, Serbia. He holds a Masters Degree in Public Administration from Northern Arizona University and is currently admitted to the UNR Masters program in Justice Management. |

Fred LokkenFred Lokken is a professor of political science at Truckee Meadows Community College and associate dean of the TMCC WebCollege and Academic Support Center. He is currently chair of the Instructional Technology Council (Washington, DC); co-chair of the Information Technology Advisory Group of the Education Alliance of Washoe County; Treasurer of the Nevada Board of Dispensing Opticians; and a member of the KNPB Channel 5 Community Board and Sierra Nevada Job Corps Community Board. He lives in Sparks with his wife, Sandy and two children. |

Anna Jane ZarndtThe County Commission appointed Anna Jane Zarndt to the Board in 2011. She is a native Nevadan and attended the University of Nevada Las Vegas, where she earned a dual baccalaureate in political science and communication studies. Ms. Zarndt attended law school at the University of Richmond, Virginia, before returning to Nevada full time in 2007 to practice law. She is a big sister with Big Brothers and Big Sisters of Northern Nevada, a member of Junior League, and proudly serves as an "It Girl" for Opportunity Village. |

James UmbachAppointed to the Board in 2011, James (Jim) Umbach attended California State University, Sacramento and graduated with a degree in Government, concentrating in City Planning. He moved to Reno in 2005 and currently works as a bellman at John Ascuaga's Nugget in Sparks. Jim’s public service experience includes serving on the Transportation Advisory Committee of Sacramento County and the Citizen's Advisory Committee on the Future of the Washoe County Library System. He is also a freelance writer and avid reader. Jim and his wife Dione have traveled all over the great state of Nevada and love the natural desert beauty of the state. |
