Lawyer in the Library for Family Law - Speak with a volunteer family law attorney for FREE. Every Tuesday evening from 5:00-7:00 pm. A drawing is held at 4:30 pm with those persons present to determine your place in line. Please arrive before 4:30 pm to register. Space is limited to 10 people each week. This is a Family Friendly program for you and your children. Law Library staff is also available to locate laws, online forms, books and court databases.

Legal Seminars on Video on Demand and DVD
Many of the legal seminars are video taped on DVD and may be checked out from the Law Library. Seminars are also replayed on the Washoe Channel, and may be available via Video on Demand. More Information.
District Court Case Management Training Session - Held Once Monthly

Online Catalog and My Account Access -- RENEW Books!
The Law Library's catalog is available on the home page menu by clicking on Online Catalog. Patrons may search the online catalog for books or other materials without logging in. With a law library circulation card, you may login to your account to review due dates, check for fees owed, renew books, or change your address. Click here for complete My Account instructions in pdf format. If you would like to purchase a circulation card, please complete the application form and bring it to the Law Library with the appropriate fee.
Parking
Downtown parking is difficult at times. Limited metered parking is available on Virginia Street, Court Street and Sierra Street.
Considering riding the FREE Sierra Spirit bus to the Historic District Courthouse. Click for the Sierra Spirit map. Park downtown and catch the bus to First Street (along the Truckee River). The courthouse is several blocks south of the river at 75 Court Street. The Law Library does not validate for parking. Click for a map of downtown Reno street closures.
Additional parking is now available in the Washoe County parking lot on Court Street after 5:00 pm and on weekends. This parking lot is directly across from the 75 Court Street entrance to the Historic Courthouse. The general public may not park in this lot from 8:00-5:00 pm weekdays and may be towed.
