Aggression Replacement Training (ART) The purpose of the ART program is to serve two related goals. The first being to help make the arousal of anger in chronically aggressive youths a less frequent occurrence. It also provides such youths with the means to learn self-control when their anger is aroused. The program is broken up into ten segments taught two times per week for five weeks. HOPE (Domestic Battery Offenders Program) The purpose of the HOPE program is to serve two related goals. Girl's Circle The purpose of this program is to teach girls ages 13-18, self-esteem, help girls maintain authentic connection with peers and adult women in their community, and allow for genuine self-expression through verbal sharing and creative activity. The program is broken up into six segments taught two times per week for three weeks. There will be a total of 12 hours of instruction. Absences are not normally accepted. Changing Directions Program The program is geared toward youths ages 14-18. It gives them the tools to change their own way of thinking and believing in order to benefit their life. Victim Awareness Program The purpose of the the VAP program is to teach youth ages 13-18 the impact of crime on individuals and the community as a whole. The program is broken up into three segments titled (1) Property Crime, (2) Drugs and Society and (3) Violent Crime. This format will include applicable videos and guest speakers. Thinking for a Change The program is designed to teach male/female high risk youth ages 13-18 years old, the steps to problem solve using cognitive restructuring and socal skills. It is only open to youth in the ISP program. The program is broken up into twenty-two segments taught two times per week for 10 weeks. There is 22 hours of instruction.
