What: All Truckee Meadows Fire Protection District firefighters will be honored in a badge ceremony

When: Friday, June 29, 2012, 4:00 p.m.

Where: Washoe County Commission Chambers, 1001 E. 9th Street, Building A-Foyer, Reno

Who: Truckee Meadows Fire Protection District (TMFPD)

Additional Information: Truckee Meadows Fire Protection District will stand up services on Sunday, July 1 at 8:00 a.m. The badge ceremony, honoring all employees, celebrates the completion of the District’s firefighter academy and training course, and their renewed commitment to providing fire and emergency response services to all residents within the District.

Fire Chief Charles A. Moore says he is ready for Sunday morning, “It is hard for me to describe the enthusiasm in our new career and volunteer firefighters; they are excited for the challenge and thankful for the opportunity to serve. I am equally excited to lead the organization and move us forward.”

Fire Chief Moore is also in the spotlight in the first ever edition of Fire Line, a Washoe County original video production highlighting TMFPD, fire safety and community projects.
