About the Incline Village Justice Court

Serving the Lake Tahoe region of Washoe County, the Incline Village Justice Court handles legal matters statutorily given to the justice court, such as small claims, evictions, civil cases, protection orders, and more. The court also serves as the initial court of hearing for all criminal cases, and the trial court for misdemeanor cases.

In addition to justice court services, the Incline Village Justice Court:

• issues ten-day vehicle registration permits and can verify Vehicle Identification Numbers for the Department of Motor Vehicles
• provides Notary Public services to the community
• performs wedding ceremonies
• issues Family Court Emergency Protective Orders, serving as a Special Master for the District Court
• adjudicates traffic citations issued to juveniles residing within the Incline Village Township
