Employee Relations
Employee Relations supports the County Vision of "valued staff," the 2004 Washoe County Strategic Plan for Organizational Values as it applies to "People: ...to treat all people with equity, dignity, respect, and fairness"; and County Priorities regarding "workforce development."
Employee Relations involves research, analysis, recommendation, application and communication of the best Human Resources practices at the most sensitive and visible levels to assist departments with employee/management conflicts; investigate incidents and events and make recommendations to management, supervisors and employees to resolve civil rights violation claims and potential litigation issues; and respond to critical situations requiring immediate resolution (i.e., workplace violence, drug and alcohol abuse, layoffs, etc.).
