Regional Open Space Program Partners
Bureau of Land Management
There are five Bureau of Land Management offices that manage public lands within Washoe County. The five offices cover large areas of public land and their districts usually extend into adjacent counties and some into California. The Nevada State Office and the Carson City Field Office are the two that focus on public lands falling within the Regional Open Space Program in the southern part of Washoe County.

United States Forest Service
There are two Forest Service offices managing public lands within Washoe County. The Humboldt-Toiyabe National Forest office covers the entire state. The Carson Ranger District is the office that focuses on public lands falling within the Regional Open Space Program in the southern part of Washoe County.
