Welcome to the Marriage License Bureau!
To be legally married in the State of Nevada, you must purchase a marriage license and have a marriage ceremony performed. The fee for the license is $60.00.
The marriage license may be obtained up to one year prior to the ceremony. The marriage license must be purchased in person in the Marriage License Bureau in either Reno or Incline Village.

In order to help expedite the licensing process, couples can now pre-fill most of their marriage license information online. Once the form is completed, you will be given a file number which you will need to bring with you to our office to complete your transaction. Both of you must appear in our office and have photo id. Here's how to pre-fill your application:
- Click the Pre-Fill Online Marriage Form button below
- Click the enter button toward the bottom of the page
- Click the My Documents link at the top of the page
- Select Online Marriage Application from the drop down toward the bottom of the page
- Click New next to the drop down
- Fill out all of the information presented to you on the form screen
- Click Create Document at the bottom of the form
- You will then be brought to a confirmation screen. Read over the information to make sure it is correct. Once finished, click Confirm at the bottom of the page
- Be sure to note the File Number as you will need to bring that with you to our office to complete your transaction
- Both bride and groom must appear in our office with photo id and their file number to complete the transaction.
