Citizen Advisory Boards (CABs) advise the Washoe County Commission on neighborhood issues such as land use planning, water and sewer service, and recreational needs. For more information about CABs, visit the CAB Home Page at www.washoecounty.us/cab .

Membership

Washoe County currently has 9 active Citizen Advisory Boards. The members are appointed by the County Commission for staggered three-year terms (proposed change from 2 years) beginning in July. Members may serve consecutive terms. Applicants must reside within the area represented by the CAB to be eligible for membership. This recruitment is specifically for the following 6 CABs: East Truckee Canyon; Spanish Springs; North Valleys; Sun Valley; Verdi Township; and Warm Springs/Rural.

Time Commitment

The volunteer boards meet at various times throughout the month. For a listing of the CABs and their meeting information, from the CAB Home Page at www.washoecounty.us/cab.
