ONLINE LICENSING INSTRUCTIONS
A CURRENT RABIES CERTIFICATE IS REQUIED TO BE ON FILE WITH WASHOE COUNTY
ANIMAL SERVICES FOR ALL DOG LICENSES.
If you received a notice to license, that notice should state if we have a current rabies certificate on file for your dog.
How to submit a rabies certificate:
Online during licensing by uploading the scanned certificate. (Scanned certificate must be a .jpeg file to upload)
By fax at (775) 353-8905
By Email at email@example.com
By mail to Washoe County Animal Services PO Box 11130 Reno NV 89520.
***Please make sure that the owner's name on the certificate is the same as the name the dog will be licensed under. If it is not, please write in the new owner's name and address so we can match it to the correct license.
Renewing a license
If you are renewing a license, you may not need to submit a rabies certificate.
To find out if a new rabies certificate is needed, check the rabies expiration date on our online renewal site. If the date is expired, you will need to submit a current rabies certificate as outlined above.
For renewal licenses, you will need the license tag number and the person ID number to start the process. This would be located in your email notice or on your renewal notice.
