WHAT IS THE NNCTC?
Established in January 2008, the Northern Nevada Counter-Terrorism Center (NNCTC) acts as a centralized, comprehensive Fusion Center, specifically designed to coordinate the exchange of intelligence information on a national, statewide and regional basis in furtherance of protecting the citizens and critical infrastructure assets of the United States of America and specifically Northern Nevada.
The effective and timely exchange of information and intelligence must occur across federal, state, local, tribal, regional, and private sectors to coordinate the prevention of and protection against domestic and international terrorist threats, as well as major disasters and other emergencies.
The communities and rural areas of Northern Nevada will also derive benefit from the specialized support provided by the Northern Nevada Counter-Terrorism Center.
NNCTC Mission StatementThe mission of the Northern Nevada Counter-Terrorism Center is to protect the citizens and critical infrastructure assets of the United States of America and specifially Nevada by enhancing intelligence and domestic preparedness operations for all federal, state, and local law enforcement agencies; and governmental agencies whose mission it is to protect the citizenry, and public entities associated with critical infrastructure assets.
Who Should Get Involved?Any public safety agency, private sector organization or corporate partner within the NNCTC Region that might benefit from receiving information regarding comprehensive, counter-terrorism products, training and investigative resources.
